Future Work Office: Episode 06 - Serviceplan Group
For the sixth episode, we visited the Serviceplan Group at their headquarters in Munich. Serviceplan is the largest partner-led agency group in Europe with 6,500 employees worldwide. Of these, around 2,000 employees work in the Munich House of Communication, as the building is called.
On site, we met with Axel Schörner. He heads the Corporate Real Estate and, with his team, is responsible for all offices worldwide. At the same time, he was in charge as the project manager for the expansion of the new headquarters. Participatory workshops with user representatives were held during implementation to reflect the needs on the site and to involve the employees. In parallel, the individual departments were accompanied by professional change management during this change. Because space alone does not change a culture and certainly not entrenched and long-learned working methods.
Our personal highlight: Part of the building complex is a large space with 15,000m², offering sightlines to the other floors. "To comply with all safety regulations, we followed the guidelines of large department stores," Axel told us.
