The eighth episode of «forward thinking» with Jo Dietrich.
In the eighth episode of our podcast “forward thinking” about current trends, developments, and challenges in the world of learning and work, Yannick talks to Jo Dietrich, entrepreneur and Gen Z expert.
While studying at the Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, he founded the consulting firm Zeam in February 2020 together with his girlfriend and business partner Yael Meier.
With the company and a team that now numbers 30, they support corporations in understanding the younger generations and addressing them in a way that is appropriate for the target audience.
The concept is working. Today, the company has annual sales in the seven figures. At the same time, Jo was included in Forbes' “30 Under 30” list for the M DACH region for his work. This is not the only reason why Yael and he are among the most recognizable faces in Switzerland and beyond when it comes to issues affecting the younger generations.
It is also their direct manner of voicing issues. Whether in newspaper articles or on social media, they are not afraid to take a clear stance.
This makes them much more than just successful entrepreneurs—they shape public discourse and spark controversy. But more importantly, they inspire reflection and provide new impetus for the working world of the future.
Why is it important to involve young employees in business decisions? How can you get the younger generation excited about your company? And why does Jo consider his customers to be the real superheroes?
We also clarify the follow-up questions:
To what extent is Switzerland affected by labor shortages?
What role does the office play?
What does ZEAM itself offer to be perceived as an attractive employer?
