I recently moved my blog, DAYS WITH US, from WordPress.com to a self-hosted site through HostGator, and I unfortunately lost most of my followers. This move, this new adventure almost made me shut down my blog completely as I was unexpectedly inundated with confusing and unfamiliar information and technical procedures. I had to learn a lot quickly, and I am still learning and trying and practicing and finding my way but it is not without problems and unfortunate twists and turns. With that said, in my haste to “do it myself” as my 4 year old daughter often and eagerly says to me, many followers were lost in the shuffle. What’s a relatively new blogger to do? I asked questions, sought the support of friends and other bloggers, and I read-read-read. Thank goodness for the kindness and patience of many (thank you!) and the help of a wonderful WordPress “happiness engineer” (as they are referred to). Since this happened, I’ve been able to make a few adjustments with my blog; however, it was recommended to let everyone know officially that my blog has moved (hoorah!), and I would love to welcome you all back over to DAY WITH US. If you would like to continue following the stories of my days, I warmly welcome you to come on over to DAYS WITH US and reconnect again by subscribing to the blog. Thank you (and welcome back)!

    • Thanks so much, Kim! I’m glad you are still here with me. I really appreciate you letting me know. Also, I loved your post and review about A Grown-Up Kind of Pretty. It also awaits on my night-table. Funny how that happens. I’m finishing up Gone Girl and will need something to start soon. Thanks again and Happy New Year!
