This past weekend, I attended my first Springboard Conference. It was a fantastic day of learning, sharing, and inspiration. During the conference, attendees had a chance to visit with many fantastic brands. One of them being: RUSTIC CRUST. I had the pleasure of speaking two of their PR representatives, and they were super nice and very informative about their product. After visiting their table, I was generously given two of their pizza crusts to try at home. Since my family enjoys pizza and we make it often, I was excited to give their crust a try.
Once home, I showed my husband the crusts (one was a whole wheat crust while the other was an Italian crust with herbs), and we immediately decided to make-our-own pizza with whatever ingredients we had in the house. My husband, the incredible guy that he is, decided to take this challenge on himself. Rummaging through our refrigerator and cabinets, ingredients were found. He made two delicious pizza with the Rustic Crust Pizza Crusts. The whole wheat pizza was topped with my husband’s homemade spicy sauce topped with smoked ham and cheese. The Italian Crust with Herbs was topped with pesto, red peppers, feta cheese, and broccoli (this was my favorite).
We love pizza in our house, and my husband’s pizza’s made on the Rustic Crust did not disappoint. They were delicious, and the crust stood up well. I liked the crust; we both did (as well as our children). We typically use whole wheat pizza dough when making our grilled pizzas (which we do often throughout the year); however, I will think twice about purchasing some of these pre-made crusts especially if I am low on time. Rustic Crust’s pizza crusts were great. They were easy to use, flavorful, and not to expensive. I would buy them again.
Thank you Rustic Crust for giving me this opportunity to try some of your crusts. My husband thanks you for making this meal a wee-bit quicker to make while still maintaining the taste we expect from the pizza we eat and enjoy.
Do you make your own pizzas? If so, what do you use for pizza crust? What are your favorite topping combinations?
Now go make a pizza. I know you want to.
DISCLOSURE: A sample of this product was given to me to try; however, my opinions and thoughts are my own, and were not unduly influenced by the brand or any outside sources.

We make pizza pretty often at home. We use the Trader Joe’s pizza dough, with the herb one being our favorite. We like really thin crust so this give us the opportunity to make it as thin as we want…we usually get 3 pizza out of each piece of dough! We like caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, thinly sliced peppers, olives, ricotta [not all of us like each thing though]. What we often do is bake the crust and then cut it up into rectangles, then each of us make our own on the smaller pieces so everyone gets what we want. We make extra crust and freeze it in the smaller pieces and then when we want pizza we pull them out, top them, and heat them up…easy peasy! I like the idea of a premade crust…used to use Boboli back in the day, but those are much too thick.
